2-year Course
Course description
This course begins studies in April and completes two years later in March.
This is the most comprehensive course at Fujiyama JLS. It is ideal for those who wish to live in Japan for a long time, learn the Japanese language in-depth, and acquire solid and confident Japanese language skills.
After completing this course, you will have various options and a great sense of self. More options will make your life in Japan easier, more enjoyable, and freer.
Course characteristics/topics
This course will improve not only your vocabulary, grammar, and operational skills but also your intercultural communication skills.
Culture is deeply involved in communication. Simply translating a foreign language into Japanese may not convey the true meaning. Cultural factors play a significant role in situations such as expressing disagreement with a superior, making a request that is burdensome to the other person, making an important apology, or expressing condolences. Japanese communication style requires "reading between the line". By the end of the course, you will be able to "read them" that you could not read before.
These Japanese language skills and understanding of Japanese culture will significantly help as you embark on your next career. We also support students in finding employment after graduation and entering universities and vocational schools.

Supports for finding a part-time job
The school is located in a tourist area at the foot of Mt.Fuji
There are many part-time jobs in hotels and restaurants where you can use Japanese (and English) with people.
Almost all students who want a part-time job start working within Two weeks of their arrival in Japan.
This is not a job at a factory where you repeat the same work at night without talking to people. We can also provide job referrals if you love that kind of work.
Fileds of Jobs that can be introduced
The school's parent company is a staffing agency.
It has offices in Tokyo and Osaka. It also introduces jobs throughout Japan. Our graduates have found jobs not only near the school, but also in various other areas.
The principal also publishes a Japanese textbook for job interviews for those who want to find a job in Japan.
"Shadowing: Let's Speak Japanese!"
Both Japanese language education and job finding support systems are well developed.
★Tips for the 1-year course applicants ★
If you wish to work on a "Specified Skilled Worker (SSW)" visa in occupational fields such as hotels and restaurants, you must pass a work skills test and a Japanese language test. The skills test may be available in English or other languages overseas. The 1-year course is a tight course, so if the skills test can be taken in your country, we strongly recommend that you take the test before coming to Japan.
If you have already graduated from a university or vocational school, you will have the opportunity to work on a work visa after graduating from Fujiyama JLS without taking a work skills test.
